I can’t help but feel this is a challenge. I have a hard time with people telling me I can’t or won’t do something. It generally makes me do them anyway just to prove them wrong.... guess I’m buying a guitar next week.

Really this only the case with things I wanted to do anyway. However challenge accepted mr. buddha

I will add this:

To learn music, together as a family, is one of the most awesome experiences you can ever have. To play music as a family? There's not much better.

Sounds like a great idea, just not sure how to execute it. I’ve looked into music lessons for the kids but I think the 3 year old will be much more into it than the 5, maybe When I get the guitar I know there are some kids ones at my wife’s parents some family jamming could happen.

I used to set my kids on the floor with pots, pans, and wooden spoons. We'd jam for hours.

It's a great way to start. It hasn't got to start off good - it has to start off fun, inviting interest, and become a habit. ;-)

This information will be abused

What happened with the large gathering you had on voat for this?

They're still there and are very, very active today/lately.

I wanted you folks to also be able to offer opinions, as some of you may have valid insights.

Did you have any insights?

No. Much like art I think music is a frivolity. I was just curious why you are on two sites doing this
