That's not a bad idea.
I do things like cook with gas, so it's not too drastic if power goes out.
I took my bike out and it died on me as I was driving. So I pushed it ten blocks or more to a friends house and had my son bring me a battery charger, cause it had no electricity, no lights. When I put the charger on the voltage regulator started smoking real bad.
That's not good. That's definitely in the 'not good' category.
Also, this means you're down to zero working vehicles.
Is your son's car in reliable condition?
Edit: I bought 3 Bimmers (sight unseen, at my son's suggestion) for like 9k - when just one of them would have been 9k. The dude was/is in either legal trouble or getting a divorce or something. I don't recall...
I don't suppose you want an 2020 S 1000 RR?
