I like to drive slow enough to be able to avoid a situation, especially on my bike

You can be stopped when some dumb chick is on her phone and doesn't see the stop light and plows through you at 45 mph.

It's not just about how fast you ride. There's some dumb son of a bitches on the roads. When I was hit, there was exactly nothing I could have done to change it. I could have been stopped in the road.

You might... Or you might not. Either way, your head is better off in a helmet when it bounces off the hood of her car and then skids across the pavement.

I can't help it. I'm a firm believer in all the gear, all the time. (ATGATT)

Though, truthfully, I don't always wear the air bag and I only have an upper body bag suit and not even a full body suit. Sometimes I want to ride without taking 45 minutes to get ready.
