I've played the 31, but not the 5 card.

I fucking love my car, for the record.

Anyhow, 31 is pretty universal. Your 5 card variant is probably regional - as I've been around and never encountered it - and I've played a whole lot of card games in my life.

My woman won every round of games, except once when I won. LoL

It's often played in bars, where you play a dollar. Each time you lose, you fold a corner over. You get four losses and then you ride one on the face (so five losses) and you're out. It's a dollar, so it's not much money and it amuses you for a half hour or more. All in all, good value for the buck.

Yeah it allows everyone to stay in, we were playing five bucks a head with four chips, lose your chips you're out
