If I were Mercedes I would surely make more of them!
They want the scarcity. The scarcity makes 'em collectible and valuable. Also, they're expensive so there's a limited market.
If they made 'em in bulk, they could probably get the cost down quite a bit.

I understand the scarcity. Though I don't know how many they made, they could always make a few more and they would still be scarce. Say if they made 1000 of them, they could make 2000 instead and it would still be a rare vehicle
They made 132 of 'em, total. Only 4 in red.
132 isn't even enough to qualify it for homologation - so it can't be entered into any of the major racing series, which means it wasn't even for racing.
132 is a pretty small number.
