TV watching means finding the least shitty content. It's possible. I've even found some stuff I enjoy - including said Expedition Unknown, which isn't completely retarded.

Also, regarding what impacts sound...

You'd be amazed what a good guitar cable sounds like.

It makes a HUGE fucking difference.

You can easily tell the difference between a $10 cable and a $30 cable.

After about $50, it's really not all that much better. (Assuming ~10' cable.)

Don't buy the cheapest. Don't buy the most expensive. Make sure it's solid oxygen free copper and shielded - as well as a durable finish material for the exterior.

The difference is amazing.

Most of the cables I use for guitar say Fender on them, they were on sale so I got half a dozen of them. I figure they would use quality materials at least.
