You said the gas went under the seat and that there are wires there? Am I recalling that correctly?

Wait until it's dark, remove the seat, try to start it - make sure the battery is charged.

In the dark, you can see if anything in there is shorting.

That'd be what I'd do. Well, no... I'd give it to my mechanics to fix. But, before I had them, that's what I'd do.
