They probably could have made the car handle better when they upgraded to 1000 HP.
Well, they upgraded some suspension parts over the OEM parts, but it really doesn't handle all that well. You have to kinda fight it.
Due to the weight of the engine (and the mismatched suspension, it needs to be stiffer) it'll nose-in on corners and then do some understeering before making you miss the apex. If you counter it with throttle, it wants to throw the ass end out. No, it's not my lack of skill, it's just the car's shitty suspension.
This could have been fixed by using electro-magnetic shocks that can be adjusted to suit and by using electrically power steering with an adjusting ratio.
We have the tech to make this work better. It's not even expensive - when you're already talking about a six figure car.
On a more positive note, the brakes are fairly good. They're not as good as many other modern sport cars - but they're still pretty good. If you fuck up or are on a line you don't like, you can brake your way out of it. So, it's forgiving in that way.
It's a damned good thing they put good brakes on there. You're going to need 'em!
I think they're upgraded Brembo or Willwood or something... I haven't actually looked. They don't make the noise of carbon ceramic, though they could be just a different ratio of carbon to ceramic.
But, they work. They work quite well. I'm reasonably confident that Mr. Moose will be okay if he hops out into the road when I'm driving by.
I found someone with more Les Paul examples than I have. They've also handled far more examples than I have. They even know more about the Les Paul examples/history than I do!
I didn't think that'd happen, but this dude is eventually going to have a Les Paul museum. Sweet! I'm kinda tempted to send him a couple to throw into his museum, so long as he keeps it anonymous.
