It has worked well.

I'm also fond of telling one person one thing, while telling another person another thing (etc) and telling them all that it's secret and not to tell people.

When it comes back to me, I know who talked.

Oh, it's awesome. Depending on how you craft your 'secret', it's pretty handy.

Like, let your old lady know that you'll be doing this and then start a rumor (that's meant to be kept secret) that you're cheating on her with a girl with a different name. Keep track of the name and then wait to see who comes back to you talking about it - or who approaches her to talk about it like they might get her to change her mind and sleep with them.

I like knowing who I can trust.

It turns out, it's not that many people.

Yeah I could see that working. Tell everybody a different name and see what names come popping up
