The first summer I lived in Maine, I lived across the road. I pretty much never closed the doors all summer long.
So, I had a couple of skunks that would come visit (and not spray) which was pretty cool. I was cool, they were cool, so it ended well.
The skunks that were hanging around here did not spray at all anywhere near my house
I'd kinda like a skunk that can't spray as a pet.
Also, it's amazing how adaptable we humans are. I used to live in a hot environment, and spent much of my life in those environments.
Well, it has been roasty toasty for the past two months - with like no days below 80° that I recall.
Today is 78° and cloudy. It feels cool. It doesn't feel cold or anything, but it does feel cool. (And it is awesome. It's so nice to not be roasting, some clammy overheated glob of flesh.
We sure do acclimate to the temperatures of our environment nicely over time
