Hi guys. I hope everyone's havin' a Happy Friday.
I recorded a Zappa song to my phone today.
Woooo Hooo! Hell Yeah! Awesome!
We did a rendition of
Big time song. Big time lyric, "clowns to left of me, jokers to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with you."
The guy behind this song, Gerry Rafferty had a monster song later called Baker's Street by Gerry Rafferty. Great sax hook.
yeah that was a fun one to play
Love the picking
Cheers. It's been a while since I've played that one.
I saw the thread and rummaged through my phone to see if I had anything worth sharing. Most of the stuff I record is just my own ideas that I may want to develop further (although I really never do).
I could drop something from the archives if y'all want. I have nothing new - but I'll have something new next week!
I'll have something special for you next week, 'cause it'll be our 5th year anniversary thread! Technically, we started on the 20th of August, but we'll celebrate on the 19th.
If you want to do something awesome, now's the time to do it.
Its always the time to do something awesome.
It takes time and effort. So, you'll have to wait until next week.
LoL You got awesome things in the can, Lay a tender surrender on us or something
Hi everybody! Hope you're all having a mighty fine evening.
My friend Chris came over not too long ago and we jammed out some cool tunes.
Here our version of the Cranberries
enjoyed it haven't heard the song in long time
Thanks!
Great job on a beautiful song.
It's a shame what happened to that girl. She was mid-40s when she Jim-Morrisoned herself. Still was able to leave a beautiful corpse.
Yeah it is a shame. Too bad women are insane
This song has made it to classic status. Be around forever. Great song.
Thanks. it does have a tendency to get stuck in my head
Here is an old grateful dead song we played. I enjoyed this one, I dont even know the song really, but its the dead so I figure I can noodle around on the guitar here and there to give it that dead flavor, and I enjoy that.
Here's
A guy came into my workplace this week and in the course of a casual discussion, he told how he ended up hanging with Jerry Garcia in a Vancouver hotel room in 1969.
Wow. at that time I would think the party was really happening!
He said he and a couple of friends found out what hotel the Dead were in. So they went to the hotel and nervously asked the clerk if he would ring Jerry's room. Instead, the clerk took them straight up to his room, knocked on the door and introduced them to him. He invited them in and they spent the afternoon smokin' pot and talkin' it up with the legendary Jerry Garcia.
