He's not in jail

I'd next check the local hospitals. He was in one recently, maybe he had a preference and went back to that same one?

I take it someone called the jail? If there's an online portal, they sometimes aren't complete.

Yeah, selling stuff can really suck. Stupid people abound.

And, I suppose it's not the best news - but it's not the worst news - that he's in the hospital. Given what you had previously told me, jail and the hospital were the two most-likely scenarios.
