Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I'm 100% positive your ears will tell you all you need to know, but recording the difference will be even more telling.

Of course, you want clean tones to really tell.

And, yeah, in hindsight... Next time I do this I'll send coated strings.

coated with what?

Some proprietary stuff. Stuff like 'nanoweb', which they're not going to disclose how they made 'em.

Quite a few vendors now sell coated strings. They're kinda awesome, but they will deaden the sound a bit. So, if you fingerpick an acoustic without any amplification, they're pretty quiet. It's less noticed on an electric where you've got a volume knob.

Some sort of flexible plastic is what I assume it is.

Besides, you click ads on my site regularly (don't do so today, thanks). So, you kinda bought 'em yourself.
