LOL Yeah, I can tell. I sometimes change mine once every time I dig it out. Hell, I send 4 to 5 guitars out to be serviced each month and someone else changes strings for me in the process of checking everything out and ensuring they're properly set up the way I want. If I order a guitar of any value, I don't even have it shipped to my house, it goes straight to my luthier.
I go through a lot of strings.

I am kinda lazy in my old age. I figure I can afford it, they need the money, and I like my shit in pristine shape - or as close as you can get it.
We only have one luthier in Farmington. There really isn't that much business for them. The money I pay him every month helps him stay in the area instead of relocating for financial reasons.
Damned right, I consider that a worthwhile investment.
That is using the old noggin, and I am sure he appreciates it!
