Really? Skip the SATA and use PCI to get an NVME M.2 format SSD (it's still just a solid state disk, just hooks up on a faster bus and has much better speed). The difference is amazing. It's literally less than five minutes to do the disk writing portion of a Linux installation. It's fucking amazing. Legit fucking amazing how fast they are. Literally, less than five minutes. As I type and click quickly, I could do the whole thing in under 5 minutes.
I have done work where the jobs were to update the parts department computers at all the Ford dealers with SSD in their parts department computers and the difference was astounding to them.
