From the age of 14 on, I pretty much never went home for summer. I was off at a boarding prep school for much of the year, and did pretty much what I wanted the rest of the year. I did not go to prep school because my parents had money, I was a scholarship kid with most of my tuition being covered by that. I went to prep school because it was that or military school 'cause my parents had had enough after my neighbor and I set his dad's garage on fire.
LoL You were bad
I was pretty rebellious, strong headed, self-centered, angry, immature, and stupid.
I haven't improved all that much.
Man, my parents made some strange choices with me. They had me study Aikido at the age of five. I suppose they thought it'd calm me down. No, it just meant I could beat up anyone my size and even some people bigger than me.
They tried filling my life with activities. I didn't deal with it well. Eventually, they kinda wrote me off. We were pretty distant until after I finished boot camp. At that point, I was a Marine and an equal in my father's eyes. That changed a lot of things - including me.
Now a days they would have probably drugged you
