Not really. I think the first ones I saw were just about $70 - like $69.99 or similar.

Now that is quite a difference!
My first writable CD drive was about $1000. A few months later, they were on sale for $500. Today, I probably have a few spares I can give you.
So, that was quite a huge difference.
Yeah, I just checked NewEgg and I can get a refurb for under $10 - and it writes DVDs as well as CDs!
I didn't go for a drive this morning. I dialed my bow in and readied my hunting gear. I'll probably put a few more arrows into the target this afternoon, just to make sure my aim is true. The goal is a quick and easy kill, both for my sake and the deer's sake.
I have a couple external CD writers. One is an older model and it is quite large, like the size of one of those old cassette recorders from the 70's, and a newer one that is 1/10 of the size of the old one.
Are you hitting the target as you expect?
