We are in pretty much perfect agreement on drug policy.

I'm a fucking adult. I can do what I want with my body.

That said, I'm also in a program - a program that is not obligated to treat me if I don't follow their rules. So, I try to be nice to them. They're trying to help me as best as they can, so making them angry won't actually help them help me.

So, I don't do illegal drugs (that can be tested for) within a week of testing.

I can smoke all the pot I want. They don't care about weed. I could also eat mushrooms or LSD. Those don't pop up in their tests.

Yeah. One of my ex girlfriend I took to the doctor one time said that she had to quit smoking pot cause it's illegal here or they wont prescriber her the pills she was getting anymore because those have been labelled a scheduled drug in Michigan. I told the doctor that pot is legal in Michigan and the drug is not a scheduled drug here but that didn't matter. If she came up dirty on weed again they would end the pill. None of that seemed right to me. They are using some convoluted logic to say no weed to her. But what can you do?

The doctors are pretty cool about weed smoking, though they would suggest using it without smoking it as smoking is bad for your lungs - even if it's just weed.

Also, smoking has always made me wonder something...

Who was it that picked up some plant and decided to set it on fire to inhale the noxious fumes?!?

if it wasn't already established, I'd have never decided to grab some unknown plant and then smoking it. 'Cause you know damned well they tried smoking all sorts of things before deciding on things like tobacco and weed.

It probably was in a campfire and they got the smoke inhaled and noticed they felt better. At least that is how I would imagine it would go
