It would be fun to try
LOL If the missus has like a stroke or heart attack, I can resolve that with a 12 ga!
I probably have about a hundred firearms, maybe slightly more. I have a giant room in my basement dedicated to them. The walls are mostly lined with safes and some hang on the wall. I have enough ammo to deal with a zombie invasion, maybe even two invasions. I bought a shitload of ammo back before it started getting stupidly expensive. Like, I used to be able to buy 5 gallon pails full of .22LR ammo - for dirt cheap.
Amusingly, I didn't use a firearm to get my deer this year. I took mine during archery season, just last Thursday. It dressed out at over 200 lbs, so I'm happy with that. I didn't apply for a moose permit this year. I'll apply next year as it has been a few years and I don't have any moose meat left. (Someone'll give me some of their kill. Someone always does, just like I share from mine.)
As for the firearms, you may not know, I'm a former Marine. My father was a career Marine. My brother did four years. I'm a rare duck that did four years, left, and then later did another four years. They normally don't do that unless they really need the numbers. My second stint was meant to earn money for college, but I didn't do that very well. Instead, I got married and had a kid... So, that was not good for saving money.
Ah well... My second stint was just a light to medium motor vehicle operator. (MOS 3531) I mostly drove officers around Quantico until they decided I should be attached to the Navy Brig in Norfolk where I was what a civilian would call a 'transportation officer'. Basically, I drove detainees to and from things like civilian court, medical appointments, transport to a long-term detention facility, family bereavement trips, etc... I did things like escort a detainee to northern CA (via plane and then rented vehicle) to their father's funeral. It was my job. So, I did it.
But, to make a long story short, that's why I own so many firearms. I love 'em. They're also an activity that I enjoy with my son, though he spends less time shooting these days.
