I dont pay attention to the other people really, I just do what I want to do

It's a great way to command the room's attention.

Even if you're not confident, just assert that you are. It helps.

It's even important if you're an academic entering a room full of academics. As a new Ph.D. student (or grad) you sometimes feel like you don't quite belong. But, just act like you're supposed to be there and it just works. It works with everyone, not just chicks.

So, exude confidence and you'll be a leg up over the competition.

Whether you know it or not, that skill has likely done you a ton of good.

You can watch it, so long as you pick up on personal cues.
