Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

And because I recorded no new Thanksgiving song, here's the last thankful song:

ZZ Top - I Thank You https://share.fngt.gq/music/rock/classic/ZZ%20Top%20-%20I%20Thank%20You%20%28B%20%231%20%26%20%232%3B%20J%20B%20%26%20K%3B%20TB%20%233%20%26%20D%29.mp3

Great track. These cats were awesome. That singer had a certain way of singing that was original and hard to copy. One of those guys died. Not sure which one. ZZ Top = Tres Hombres

[–] 0 pt

I think it was the bass player that died. Dusty? I'm not great with names and faces, but that is what I recall. It wasn't all that long ago. They were talking about it on TGP.

Great job! I have ticket stubs showin' I went to two of their shows, but I only really remember the first one. The second was lost to substances.

I've seen 'em at least a few times. I was once on a separate stage at the same event. They liked to use local talent as their opening acts, so I was on a second stage. I only met one of 'em, Billy I think was his name, and it was just in passing. I was otherwise occupied and didn't have time to run around being a fanboy.

You're welcome!

Great rendition of a classic!

LOL Glad ya liked it.

I should probably come up with a new Thanksgiving song for next year.

[–] 0 pt

I thought you had mentioned doing something like that this year

Hi guys, I recorded this some time back with a couple of my many children. It's a cover of a Pine Box Boys song.

[–] 1 pt

Listening now. Sounds like fun and happy Thanksgiving.

[–] 1 pt

That sounds like an awesome family activity

[–] 1 pt

Bonus, we recorded it in a cemetery.

[–] 1 pt

At a funeral?

Niggerfaggots. I guess that's no longer used in honor of Voat. Showing respect to Voat. Well done y'all.

Rolling Stones album version of Robert Johnson's Love in Vain. The live version on Get Yer Ya-yas Out is better. Best live album around.

Anywho, this is a karaoke version of it. Great song to sing when your fucked up. It's like a slow burner.

Sounds great man! I dont think you could have played that anywhere near so awesomely when you first starting sharing with us here, way to go. Hell yeah!

[–] 0 pt

You are correct! That is a great song to sing when you're fucked up!

[–] 1 pt

Hey everyone! I don't have any sort of special Thanksgiving day song for you but I got this here jam me and my friends played not too long ago.

[–] 1 pt

That sounds vaguely familiar.

I do a classical number, you've heard it before, whose name translates to "across the water" (the water of which was an ocean).

[–] 0 pt

I love that song 26ra

[–] 0 pt

Hmm... I should probably do a classical piece sometime soon. It has been a while, but my nails are pretty short right now.

Here is me and my friend Chris playing an old song by I don't know who called

[–] 1 pt

Nice...that bass comes through nice and warm on my stereo.

[–] 1 pt

cool. I was on the bass on that one

[–] 1 pt

Excellent song. Reminds me of that Dylan song where that bum was dead on the sidewalk and everybody was walking over him like he wasn't there. Don't know the name of that one but it was perfect for today's fukced up world.

[–] 0 pt

This might be the very song you're talking about. Or maybe its another one I've played with Chris.

[–] 1 pt (edited )

It ain't this one. It's another one that you played with Chris. Totally depressing song. I love it. Edit: Man on the Street.

Joni Mitchell did a version, but I'm not sure if it was her song.

I assumed you had the thread tonight cause you usually do the Holiday ones.

[–] 0 pt

I had indeed planned on it, but I forgot it was Friday.

I knew it was Friday earlier - even telling myself that I had to open the thread.

Then I forgot.

I had a THC lollipop. That probably has something to do with it.

Seems quite likely

LOL I was like 10 minutes late. Oops!
