I was thinking both historic composers and more modern musicians, giving homage to my classical guitar and my love for recreating bitchin' solos from modernity.
So, we're talking Bach to Axl Rose, from Beethoven to Meat Loaf, from Randy Rhoads to Tchaikovsky, from Dylan to Tom Petty... Like 20 or 30 busts lining the room, sitting on marble columns. That sorta thing... Maybe a few classic busts like Plato and Nero.
With a beautiful black grand piano set up in the center, under the chandelier. (The chandelier is already in place.)
The room has been there for almost 15 years. I've had a variety of things in there, but nothing seems quite right. I just need a beautiful black Steinway in the center...
That sounds like it would be awesome!
Right?!?
But...
Is it as awesome as a winning race car of historic significance?
In theory, I could do both. I could put the car in the basement still. I'd have to figure out what to do with the guitars. I've got my gym, my media room, my guns, the utilities room, a plumbing room, the boiler room, storage, etc down there.
I might be able to fit both - or do the whole outbuilding thing where I have a studio and storage for a bunch of the guitars in a second building. I've already set aside the space for it. I'm thinking something modern with a basement and a second floor - so that way visiting musicians have a place to stay outside of the main house and where their noise won't disrupt the main house.
(I've been pondering this for a while.)
Where I'd put it is kinda on a bit of a bluff - so there's be a daylight basement, where you could walk into the basement directly. I'm thinking that I could set that up to display guitars like a museum and also incorporate storage space.
At the same time, I kinda want my guitars in my house.
I guess it is up to if you really want a full blown studio on the property
