Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

I'd rather spend the money to fix my Jag than drive that!

Well, you have an alcoholic beverage. Calling Budweiser beer is a bit much!

And, for what it's worth, everyone loves the Jeep. Imagine cruising to the beach in it! Then, come winter, if it's snowing and you want beer, you can drive to the store and know you're gonna get there - even if you've got 12" of snow on the ground!

Plus, you can tailgate with it. There's a bunch of storage if you want to go on a picnic or to a game. You can load a boat (or storage) onto the roof. You can tow a boat to the lake - try that in a Jag!

Wanna go fishing but want to get to an isolated spot? Well, the Jeep will make it over rough terrain and get you through deep water.

Hmm... I should add a snorkel to it before it gets put up for sale. That'll look cool and make it sell for more, but I think it requires a permanent modification.

LoL you're a hell of a salesman!

Alas, the fuel efficiency is not for the timid. 'Snot cheap to operate. Some folks say you get 17 to 19 MPG, but in my experience it's just north of 12 MPG. Granted, that includes me stomping on the faster pedal as hard as I can 'cause it's otherwise a long time to get to highway speeds. So, you can probably do better if you're patient about it and optimize your driving.

There are a million and ten ways to customize it and make it your own. Imagine it with a 6" lift kit and a fancy suspension - with a skid plate running along the whole thing. Wanna crawl over rocks? You can do that! Want to ford streams? You can do that! Want to go 'mud running'? You can do that!

You can keep it looking mostly stock or turn it into a decked out crawler that has A/C included!

It's a Jeep, customize it as much as you want. The aftermarket parts for it are plentiful.

You can even make it fast. I don't actually recommend that, but it has a 5.7 L (360 ci) engine. You can change the cam, up the compression, dump more fuel into it, advance the timing, and force air into it. You can probably easily get it in the 350 to 400 HP range - all with components you can buy for it. You can probably get the 0 to 60 time down around 6 to 8 seconds.

Done properly, you'd possibly even make it more efficient.
