I kinda figured you'd have one, but your son is close enough.

I do own some NFL memorabilia, but I do not own a cheese hat. I have some original jerseys, some signed shit, and a few footballs. All of it came from a couple of auctions I attended. I own them as investments - but they're also from players I like.

I'd never actually wear them. They're worth a bit of money and not meant to be worn, or at least not purchased to be worn.

Oh, my band is playing at my favorite venue from the 30th to the 31st. They've asked that I come do at least one of the shows. They can tell the end is near and are appealing to my sense of nostalgia.

See, my birthday is on the 30th and NYE is the following night. That's both days that are special. I told 'em that I'd give them a solid answer by mid-week.

You might be asked to open the thread on the 30th, which is one I'd normally open 'cause it's my birthday. I'm thinking about doing a set and encore on my birthday and then a full night on NYE - where we've gotta go into overtime 'cause the bar's are able to serve until 02:00 on NYE.
