LOL
I keep forgetting to ask. Did the strings on your V ever settle down?
I braced the damned floating bridge so it is not usable with the whammy bar at the moment but it does stay in tune
Ahh... I bet a good solid setup and reconditioning would go a long ways - new springs, maybe a new block, and setting it up properly...
That'd probably help a great deal.
I put a little block of wood between the bridge where it goes down to the springs piece and the wood of the guitar body to hold it still against the force of the strings and that made a world of difference in staying in tune
As I sit here all drunk playing my guitar by myself I notice that my fingers do not like to do new things, I am fucking around and making noise and hear something that catches my ear, and then when that happens I attempt to replicate the notes and the rhythm that caught my ear, cause hey, you never know it cxould be part of something some day. Right? Anyways, to my point, i feel like im rambling, lol, when i try to make my fingers play the new melody my ears want to hear that they just heard, those fucking bastards just wont listen. I tried to play some of my songs that I have not played in a long time and those just flow, my fingers have no problem with those songs at all, nothing like playing something unfamiliar to them, and it is annoying
