Hi guys, I hope all is well or at least acceptable. This week I learned that car batteries have doubled in price since the last time I had to buy one.

I wrote another song. It's called

And, yeah, a good battery is pretty pricey. I got a whole rack of Optima batteries, just 'cause it has reached the point where I need that many on hand. Those still last nicely.

I can't remember the last time I actually had to buy one, but I'm certain it was about $100.

The guy at the sales counter said, "Do you want good, better, or best?" So I asked him for the prices. I could only afford good.

Yeah, Optima are nearly $300. Wait for AutoZone to do something stupid and let 'em go on sale for about half that, then buy enough to last you a minute or two. If your vehicle gets cold, you'll want a red top.
