yeah, she might be there. I am not going to give her the satisfaction of me hunting her down for my phone. By pure happenstance, I was talking to my ex-wife last weekend and the subject of our son dropping his phone in a hot tub at a motel came up and she said, 'i've got extra cell phones that he can have one.' and then she asked me if my phone was shitty phone or a good one and I told her it was a piece of shit, cause it is, and she said that she was going to mail one to me, so the timing on that is good. I do have a replacement sim card here already from my phone company the last time my phone was stolen by a woman, and that phone got returned but I kept the card, so as soon as the phone my ex wife is mailing to me arrives I will just activate that sim card and i will have a phone. I hope it arrives tomorrow

That only works if the phone is 'unlocked', as far as I know...

But, be optimistic! LOL

My main phone is kinda old. Oddly, the phone I use to tether is newer - newer by a couple of years even. I like my current phone, so I don't bother looking to replace it.

You're likely eligible for an Obama phone. I think I have an Obama phone somewhere. Someone gave it to me for some reason, I forget why. I have no idea if it still works or if it has been shut off. I understand they shut 'em off if you don't use them regularly.

You might also have to fuck around trying to get your existing phone number assigned to you again. If you're the account holder, I guess it'll be easier? I guess? I'm not really sure... I've had 'em piss and moan when I wanted to keep my existing number, and that was as a paid account.
