Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask Crazy, or myself.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

Remember, we are guests here on Poal. Let's act like it. If you're interested in supporting Poal, then .

Life will be better with the 'net back on!

And, that's a good way to level frets. I've actually got a special tool for it, well several, but I no longer do my own luthier work. I can do all the work, I just don't want to. I also have too many guitars. Doing all the work would take up my time, even if it's just general inspections and cleanings.

But, I can even repair an acoustic top that has been punched in from someone stepping on it. There will be some sign that it was repaired, but I can fix it. I can fix a broken headstock easily enough, even if I have to make a jig to route a section out for replacement.

So the money is in my bank now, but wouldn't you know, the bank servers are down and unable to access and transactions are impossible. What timing!

I don't need anything fancy. Just want it to stop chewing up my left hand index finger

Yeah, time to grind that shit down.

Like always, there are a few specialized tools. One grinds 'em all down evenly, another is a file used to round it over (it's not a file on two sides, to prevent you from messing up the fretboard), and then there's a fret file for further shaping.

LOL I don't suspect you're gonna go spend the kinda cash it takes to get Stew Mac equipment, but you can get workable stuff from sites like eBay.
