I think I have one of those too but I was thinking about the what you called feeler gauges cause that's what I use them for. I don't know where they are, I went and looked for them and they were not in the toolbox. My son have taken them and put them in his toolbox
Sons tend to do that.
I have some really nice feeler gauges, including a lovely old machinist's set. Those fold into a wooden handle and are like 6" long. I also have individual ones so I can stack 'em to get a precise measurement if the specific distance isn't covered.
I notice a lot in my typing I think full sentences as I type them and lately, a whole lot, I seem to be skipping whole words when I type, like of, and* to* and *at * and it makes me look idiotic
Meh... I don't have high standards (with typing). So long as I get the gist of it, we're good.
I don't mind. As long as he doesn't lose it. Or leave it outside to get all rusty.
I mind. I expect my tools to be in the same place I set them down.
I'm anal about it. I expect my screwdrivers to be facing in the same direction they were facing. I expect my tools to be clean.
I have a lot of money and time in my tools. They're tools, not toys. If you want to use my tools, you'll agree to my anal standards. Otherwise, you're shit out of luck. Try a rock and some tree branches.
