What we are hearing is at least a 15 second delay. So, I'm not sure how good that'll be.
They delay all live stuff by 5, 10, or 15 seconds. This is so they have time to stop the feed or mute the feed for bad language. It still sometimes slips through, but it's delayed.
So, I dunno if that'll help 'em much?
I do kinda like an underdog - a team that comes from behind. So, I find myself kinda hoping DC wins, just 'cause they were losing.
I'm a sucker for an underdog.
I did not think about the delay, but yeah, that would make it tough to get the info to the players in time to make a difference. All because of Janet Jacksons boob, or nipple more specifically.
Amusingly, they had a delay when her boob was shown. It just wasn't stopped in time. They have used a delay for a long time. Anything 'live' probably is not live at all.
I think it was only something like 2 seconds at the time though. I am pretty sure they extended it, for tv broadcasts at least, cause I remember the next season a lot of people complaining that the tv and radio broadcasts of the packer games were not in synch anymore, the radio was like 5 seconds ahead
