Well, the good news is that parts are available and that some metal can be fixed.
The bad news is there's a 12 to 18 month lead time. ('Snot much call for parts, so they don't make 'em that often.)
Like, the headlight assembly can be found - but not the bezel that goes around it. There might be salvage parts available.
They're offering me about 87.5k and I can keep the car. I told 'em I'd have an answer for 'em by Friday.
They're not offering me anything for my pain and suffering! LOL (I wasn't even in the car, but it sure is painful seeing my Bentley like that and I absolutely suffered a loss! They're having none of it.)
So, wanna a ruined old Bentley that will take you two years to fix - unless you get lucky at a salvage yard and don't mind salvage parts on a car capable of something like 200 mph??? I'll sell it to you for cheap! You can actually drive it in its current condition, but that's only 'cause I used a tire iron to move the bent fender away from the tire so that it wouldn't rub and pop.
Got $10.50, we'll take it
Hmm... That's a pretty tempting offer!
I do know they dorked the suspension in the front, on the driver's side. They hit the tire, though oddly not enough to do any visual damage to the wheel or tire itself.
Seeing as there are so few parts out there, I suspect we can 'part it out' and make some decent money.
Though, I have been thinking of fun ways to use that W-12 engine. It's beautifully short 'cause it's basically a V-6 mated to a V-6.
our offer is better than all that work parting it out
Also, I remembered a song that you might like... Well, Chris might like...
It's country, but he does some music that'd be considered country. It just fits you (and him) to a tee and my memory won't let me forget it until I share it.
For the record, you have the highest offer so far.
But, I'm thinking about a project...
Picture the Ariel Atom - but with a 6L W12 with 600 HP...
Right?!?
That might just be the most bitchin' thing ever. I could probably outrun a Veyron with that! (I'm never, ever going to go that fast in something like that, except maybe in a straight line on a closed course.)
