we're probably going to go to bed pretty soon here as well
Man, it's St. Paddy's Day and I didn't even get drunk...
I've nursed like four beers in 7 hours. I'm getting fuckin' old.
Some moron backed into my Continental. He's a fucking idiot.
When he learned it was a Bentley, he pretty much shit a brick. He tried getting me to not call the cops, saying he'd pay for it himself. He took out the front grill and driver's side fender. It's gonna be at least 20k to fix it. I told 'em that I'd take 20k right then and there and he pretty much shit a brick again, trying to tell me that it'd be an easy fix.
So, we did the file forms thing. I wasn't even in the car and was clearly in a marked parking space. I'm obviously not at fault.
The dude even tried fake crying.
Hell, it's probably going to be more than 20k. I'm gonna guess it'll be 12 months to gather all the necessary bits and get it fixed. I'll send it down to Boston to a Bentley dealership. They can do the work.
It's their insurance that'll cover it. Well, my insurance will cover it and they'll go after the other dude's insurance company to make them whole. They'll even give me money for a rental, but I won't claim that. I have other options to drive.
If I was in their position, I'd have shit a brick too. Their insurance company is gonna be pissed.
Hopefully their insurance is up to date!
Fucking idiot!
They had paperwork that indicated their insurance is paid for. The cops don't actually verify that, they just check the paperwork.
They have a shitty insurance company and were driving a shitty car. They use The General for their insurance company and they were driving a beat to shit old Subaru wagon. I haven't a fucking clue what they were trying to accomplish or how they actually managed to hit me. I'd backed into the parking space in front of the store. I didn't need gas and didn't like their price for premium gas anyhow - not when I was going to be in Skowhegan later anyhow. (There's a cheap gas station in Skowhegan, with full service even.)
I'm pretty sure their insurance company will send goons over to kick him square in the nuts.
I'm guessing it's a 20k repair. It might be more than that.
It's worth $140k if they total it. His insurance is only good for like $100k (minimum requirements in Maine). So, he'd be on the hook for quite a bit more, probably more than they make in a year - maybe even more than they make in two years.
That sucks but next time don't run into a motherfucking Bentley - unless you have good insurance.
