Well I will hope you don't run into dirty power, I have lost many a server too it, and honestly quite a few work stations. As my only friend Jon said, I UPS the fuck out of my house. I do because they have voltage regulators. You should probably try something similar with your equipment. I'm sure you have already thought of that but even so could any UPS handle the amperage you require. Perhaps a project that could be fun. Either way. As always a fun read. I am currently moving into my house. Yes I actually own this one. After that I am not sure what I will do. I need to go on a soul searching mission as it were. I have enough money to last me a few months and I will be receiving unemployment. I considered not claiming it but I think I should due to needing some time to think. I need to do something crazy. Anyway none of this is your problem. I will do something and it will involve me doing something stupid I am sure. Either way it'll be fun. Also almost all fun things involve electricity. Yeah, there's basically big banks of capacitors that you can get - at outrageous fees. I'm unwilling to invest that much, at this point. It's cheaper to insure and then rent, should something go sideways. I check the power, personally. Granted, I don't always check it before someone plugs into it - but I do check it.

Eh, if you wanted you could go down to he local auto parts store and recover come core battery returns. 10 or 20 of those plus an inverter would ensure proper voltage and amperage. Super boring but it would be a cheap way to ensure clean power. Not saying you should do that at all. In fact I would say don't do it. Any number of things could go wrong. Anyway. I am again drinking heavily and probably will be for several more days due to company closing thing. Its really weighing on me heavily. I need to go to bed as I have possibly one last day of work tomorrow, or the next day or a week from now, no one knows. At some point the game will really be over.
It has to be mobile and insurable. It has to have a UL rating, or insuring it is going to be a bitch - or filing a claim would be a bitch.
