Thanks for sharing. It is jaw droppingly stupid what people think, and what they will say. In this instance, a desperate page added to the gun grabber playbook. .380 is a " short 9mm" IIRC? Serious enough it seems.

Yep. Thank God they weren't hollow points.
Funny the first thought in my head the 2nd time was literally "oh no, not again!" Then not-so-funny, looked up at my surroundings thinking "this is probably the last stuff I'll ever see..." Luckily that wasn't the case!
I load ball/hollow point/ ball in all my smaller stuff. I have heard/ read that hp can sometimes fail to load due to bullet and ramp issues, so I alternate to minumise that.
Good to know, if I ever end up owning any.
I'm not afraid of guns, just have a healthy respect for them. And a criminal record that prevents me from legally owning/possesing. Dug my hole long time ago, I now reap what I have sown.
Have friends and family who own, I'll go shooting with them when they invite me. One of my buddies thinks he's Mr. Firearms Instructor, he's giving us a speech about gun safety, telling us about not pointing the barrel at anything you don't intend to shoot at. I said in response, "Dude, you unintentionally pointed that thing at me 6 times already today." He goes "Of couse YOU would be keeping count!"
