Chicago Sun-Times reporter, columnist, and editorial board member, Neil Steinberg doesn’t like gun owners and he’s really crude. One time he wrote, “Guns are a kind of masturbatory aid of millions of Americans who imagine themselves supermen.”

Steinberg claimed that it’s super easy to buy a gun like the AR-15 and went to Maxon’s shooters in Des Plaines, Illinois.

The woke liberal reporter chose a Smith & Wesson Model M&P15 Sport which is an AR-15-styled semi-automatic weapon and a 30-round magazine.

However, when it was time to complete the sale the gun store refused to sell him the rifle.

According to the clerk, Steinberg yelled, “you sell to terrorists, you sell to insane people, but you won’t sell to a reporter?”

The clerk informed him that his background check revealed a “history of alcohol abuse and domestic violence.”

Sadly, this will have no effect at all on this idiot in particular, and the rest of the idiots like him.

Bullshit. The NIC will only tell the clerk if you've been approved or not. Nothing else. If you get denied, they very pointedly won't say why, because the denial may be purely political. You pissed off some politician or bureaucrat and they just don't like you, so no 2nd Amendment rights for you, peasant.

If you get denied, you have to petition them to find out why, and if it's because some politician had you put on the list because he didn't like you, you then have to get a lawyer and go through the courts just to find out why you were denied. And that's just the first step. Then you would have to sue to get your name off the denied list and get your rights back.

Oh. Okay. That explains it. Another professional liar that doesn't know any more about the subject than (((Steinberg))) does.

You sound like a man who has had some experience with. What can you share that would help the rest of us with this nanny-state-for-the-nigs shitshow?

Only what I've heard, same as you.

Back in the dawn of time, when dinosaurs roamed the earth, I was an agent with the US Border Patrol. One day I went down to my local mom and pop gun shop to pick up a firearm I'd ordered. When they ran the NIC, it came back as being on hold, pending a supervisor's approval. Now the only thing that had changed in my life had been my joining he Border Patrol, so I was, of course, somewhat curious, so I asked.

The shop owner told me that if someone is denied, they never ever say why. In my case, because I was now technically a "fed", my name now was on a separate list and required a NIC supervisor to give approval, and he was at lunch. So I had to wait 2 more hours for some bureaucrat in Morganton, WV to wander their way back from the local burger joint and put in his code to unlock my, "constitutionally protected right", or some facsimile thereof.

As far as having to sue to find out why your were denied or to get your rights back, that's from other peoples personal horror stories.
