It sounds sped up.

I just re-saved the file at 90% speed and it increased the file size from 120mb to 144mb and the duration from 2hrs 23min 54 sec to 2hrs 40min 10sec. Due to my upload speed it will take me 1-1.5 hours at least to upload that size of a file to catbox and catbox tends to time out for me with a server response error on files larger than 15-20mb. I'll try uploading this 90% speed version tomorrow though.

To update, I managed to get the 90% speed version to successfully upload to catbox. Here is the link for this slowed down version.

The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion
MP3 Audiobook (144mb): https://files.catbox.moe/ojywbh.mp3

Going to update my links referencing the sped up version to this slowed down version.

You're right. I just decreased its speed to 90% and it reads normally like a person reading it instead of sounding sped up. I can now also notice the inhalation of breath between sentences where at 100% speed I didn't notice it at all. I think it actually is a person who recorded themselves reading it and then put the recording through different effects and filters to mask their voice.

If your playback software allows it, I would recommend decreasing playback speed to 90%. e.g. In AIMP player it is in the Sound Effects options, or VLC player in Playback > Speed (or [ and ] to increase/decrease speed finely). You can also use software like WavePad or a bunch of other software to edit the file to always be at 90% speed.
