While written by a jew, Grapes of Wrath was the best book I was forced to read in high school. I loved that book.

He's a good author. He constantly stirs the class conflict pot but aside from that they're good books.

I agree that it was definitely up there in quality among the mandatory reading for high schoolers.
Yeah, comparatively, it was engrossing for me. To this day, regardless of my politics, I want to defend the farmer like a proper NatSoc. Always have, probably always will.
