They know it, they just can't act it. As they said, the risk is too great, everyone has a video recording device (ie, smartphones). It's not your friends that care, it's some random third person 20 years from now seeing a Trump banner in the background of a picture, and holding you accountable.
I understand that, however names can be changed, or legal names not used in the first place.
Your answer makes zero sense in the context to my statement
It all has to do with how data is connected. Moreover, pictures from 'years' ago can be altered. Even worse, in the near future images can be wholly fabricated to where no human eye can detect the difference.
Breaking the chains of data connection from person to image solves that problem.
