The original black&white 13 Ghosts by the great William Castle is surprisingly entertaining also. I saw it at the theater when it was originally realeased. It had a great gimmick. You were given a piece of cardboard with windows of blue celophane and red celephane. Castle came on at the start, and said that if you wanted to avoid being frightened, you should look through the blue celophane when the screen turned blue; but if you wanted to see the ghosts, you should look through the red celophane. If you watch the movie today, all that neat stuff is gone. It 's just a regular movie.
