The gospels at written in such a way that names, places, times, etc. Are given such that someone who was alive during that era could retrace all the steps and speak to either the person themselves or people who witnessed it happened. The beginning of acts claims that 500 people watched Christ assend into heaven. Again, written in a way that you could speak to people who saw the event, given the timeframe that the gospels were written. It's easy 2000 years later to claim it's all a jewish larp and that the books aren't real, but you have to realize that these people put down these places and names and events WITH THE HOPE that people would verify these accounts.

There is more literature about the life and death of Jesus than any other figure in antiquity for a reason. Something remarkable happened and a lot of people saw it. And best of all, they wanted everyone to be able to find out about it.

But let's say the religion was "false" for a second. There was an empty tomb. Numerous historical accounts from many sources attest to this fact. You can believe what you will believe about the circumstances surrounding how the tomb was emptied, but numerous people went to their graves with an unwavering faith that the Man who left that tomb was God or at least a messenger from God himself. Pretty damn good reason for a religion to begin to take hold and thrive.

I'm trying to be neutral about it because I understand that many choose not to believe, but no other religion can claim the stuff the Christ did. Not with eyewitness accounts to back it up. Or numerous people who were set on fire, fed to animals, crucified, or any number of other horrible ways to die that could have been avoided if they just denied what they claimed they saw.

If you continue to chose to not believe, or call Christianity a jewish psy op, so be it. But God sees race more than we do, believe me. He sees our skin and culture and religions far more than even we do. Jesus showed as much during his earthly ministry. So if God or Jesus is "jewish" then why the fuck was Jesus's final command before assending to heaven to spread his gospel to everyone who ISN'T jewish? Why the fuck did he use a JEW KILLER to write most of the new testament? Why the fuck does the Christian message resound with so many people to cause adoption, where most others like Islam require conversion at the point of a sword?

God bless, y'all.

Do you have any particular beliefs about Christianity/Religion/Spirituality?

As much as I constantly try to find a system of belief that makes sense to me, only Quakerism has done that, but the Quaker meetings I've been to all seem intrinsically false and full of group-think.

I think churches as a whole are co-opted and corrupt. I believe in the Word itself. I know many will say that some bibles are corrupt, or some are divinely inspired. But as far as I am concerned, His word can speak from any bible that isn't overtly perverted, like the New World, Joseph Smith Translation, The Message, etc. Paul said that we should gather in church for the fellowship that strengthens us as followers. But of interesting note, is that Jesus is present in a gathering of 3 or more. So "Church" doesn't mean a huge building singing the most recent christian rock jam while following a canned sermon. Jesus is with us when we seek Him and seek the word to help us be armed against what we face in this reality.

I do believe that Jesus is Lord and Savior. I also believe that satan is VERY real, and has corrupted most institutions of this planet such that no one even realizes it anymore unless they actually read His word to see it.

True evil exists, and so does true good.

The one part that I am really uncertain of is Jesus as Lord and Savior.

It strikes me as a possibly perversion of his message, by leaders more interested in establishing a Church rather that helping people achieve salvation.

Something about being granted salvation via simple belief in Christ strikes me as lazy and incorrect. Jesus as being a messenger of how to live your life makes much more sense to me, but all of the early Christian faiths seem to disagree on this point, and the Council of Nicaea didn't help.

Regardless, the vast majority of organized religions don't inspire a ton of faith in me, as they almost always seem to be more obsessed with financial matters than spiritual ones.

I can give a fairly long write up on Jesus being Lord and Savior, but I don't want to do it unless your really interested.
