I’ve been to Honolulu thousands of times. I’ve interacted with the HPD several times. I sympathize they have to deal with out of control natives, drunk tourists, drug addicts and homeless idiots. But they are not professional, they are corrupt and horrible. Be very careful around HPD, avoid them if you can. If they tell you to leave, LEAVE! Do not stand up for your “rights” it will not end well for you.
