ha! I thought you were going to quote the Old Testament to justify it. Was prodding you to try to figure out if you were going to start pushing duel covenant theory, which I am not a fan of.
What's wrong with using the Old Testament to justify things, or rather explain things?
I suppose you assumed my interpretation would've been wrong?
I'm not familiar with that theory. at least by name.
This is complicated and I don’t have the best understanding of it, but here I go;
You have to completely remove yourself from the lost tribes residing in Europe mindset and take on the “normal“ mindset. Gentiles or Christians believe that God‘s covenant of the Old Testament was replaced by the coming of Jesus. Through Jesus, God made a new deal with humans. The old one became irrelevant. Anyone who choose to remain a Jew is just a fool that is rejecting Jesus and is doing so is rejecting the changed deal. That was widely accepted Christian thought for about 2000 years.
About 50 years ago the Zionist Jews realized that they needed the respect and support of the powerful Christian right in the United States. They started funding protestant (particularly Baptist) seminaries. This led to the wide acceptance of the “Dual Covenant Theory”. This is the idea that even though God made a new deal with us through Jesus, the old deal is still in effect. This allows the Zionists today to call themselves “gods chosen people.“ This fucking propaganda is why you will see cars parked in baptist church parking lots in the US with bumper stickers that say “I stand with Israel”
Edit; only people who believe in the “dual covenant theory” would follow the Old Testament instructions. That’s what I thought you were doing. Following the old testament instructions on grooming.
I agree but the ting is that that deal was only made with the people of the Bible. Isrelites or white people.
Now with all the race mixing it becomes weird.
I can't speak about all that. I just know what I think myself. If some white people would like to sacrifice them selves for some weird notion of interracial Disney love they can do so. But it will not benefit their offspring.
oh well, those grooming instructions were for those taking the nazirite vow, they weren't law for everybody. Numbers 6
I don't believe in a new, different covenant due to the Messiah. At least not yet: on my current read through of the whole bible, i've not made it to the new testament. I hope to learn where people get the idea that the LAW no longer applies.
Regardless, I don't believe God changed any promises: that kinda defeats the purpose of the promise. I also don't stand with the political state called israel.
