On my moms side it actually has a black bird and two red castle towers. But I don't care to much about that. The first flag of Denmark had a black bird as well. But I could just make a new one myself if I wished to. Do one of your family lines have any?
Actually have three (that I have found so far). What blows my mind is that although they are 3 completely different names, one traced back to Scandinavia, one is Anglo-Saxon/Germanic and the last is Celtic, they all have a stag incorporated in the heraldry. The stag represented the tribe of Naphtali which is one of the least written about tribes because they were one of the first to be "lost".
Also found another one going back to Flintshire with a Leon or gryffin on but a lot of them had ancestors and made their own stuff up.
I guess all that just has as much value as people put into it..
You may not care but those things are important in discovering your history.
That is true.
What I mean is just that if it's a burden more then a force for good you should properly just disregard it or make some new stuff your self!
