Then again, this is all in line with ancient philosophy, so it's doubtful much is new under the sun.
The first Roman empire was a crude attempt at a communist takeover. They failed due to lack of technological means. The formula has been established for a very long time, all they've lacked is the means. And if anybody is convinced they aren't being manipulated just because they know what's going on, they are just as much useful idiots as the lemmings they make fun of.
That's why Christianity is such a threat to communists, because it properly identifies the enemy as ones self. Think about it. If everyone thought this way, no communist revolution would ever be able to take place. None of the participants on any side are introspective and thoughtful, they look externally for solutions.
The closer the elites can take people to their base instincts, the easier they are to herd from place to place.
Ah finally I get the answer to this old question as to why Communism hates Christianity. Thanks anon!
