German states did make serious attempts to drive out German slavs, and Hitler only gave up on it himself after being convinced it would help the Soviets at Germany's expense (or maybe it was a simpler matter of resources, I don't remember).

We have always been at war with our brother tribes, but we confederated without the infiltrators.
