We also weren't taught about how the Japs (and most Asians) are vicious bug people and slaughtered, starved or worked anybody they came across who wasnt japanese. They do not hold normal human emotions or empathy. That must be a (((Department of Education))) reform as "FDR baited the Nips to get us into WW2" was standard fare back in the day, only it was framed as a sort of "ends justify the means"/"noble sacrifice" on the part of FDR, similar to the tale of Coventry and how, the story goes, Winston Churchill had to let those Brits die because saving them would've let the Krauts know that we'd cracked their codes.

We didn't learn anything about FDR stealing gold, baiting Japs, and forming the FCC to shut down decent. Our 1930-1945 learning was great depression,(without talking about banks), how horrible Hitler was, how the good guys won WW2, and lastly how Stalin became the badguy somehow.

What i heard was this:

It was against military doctrine to have such a great fleet in harbour at the same time as was in Pearl Harbor, Admirals and others wanted the fleet to be spread out, to prevent exactly this scenario from happening, yet a General in high command ordered the fleet to remain in harbor.

That General was a jEw.

decades ago i watched a documentary on a propaganda movie that was produced about Pearl Harbor. A full on stylised version with model planes and boats and screams of horror, all to motivate americans to join the war effort.

Yeah. The US Navy was deliberately not on alert - but they did have assets standing by.

US Intelligence knew Japan was going to strike, and they knew the Japanese consul was going to bring a declaration of war to the White House just before the attack began. The plan was to have the fleet remain a target, but when the consul left the embassy the attack would be discovered and the fleet would rapidly move out to defend itself and fighters would be launched.

Unfortunately no one expected the Japanese to make a mistake, in time zone calculations. The consul left late and arrived 4 hours after the attack began.

Also a book called "Day of Deceit " (or similar. Furthermore when Churchill was secretary of the navy before ww1 He leaked to Germany that the Lusitania had weapons on it (it didn't) so the German U-boats would kill American passengers thus bringing the US public opinion and us troops into ww1. The loss of the Philippines was an even bigger disaster than the baited Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. FDR and that phony popinjay Douglas "Dug out" MacArthur deliberately kept our B-17's on the ground to be easily destroyed by Japanese air attack, they abandoned the plans to defend the beaches from invasion - the Japanese commander of the invasion said that even the slightest resistance would have repelled the landings - and they deliberately withheld supplies from the US soldiers on Bataan, even though it was easy to supply them, which caused the Bataan "Death" March. The march was only 60 miles but the men were so weakened by months of little food and medicine that 500-600 Americans died on the way.
The loss of the Philippines, the B-17's, and sub pens at Subic Bay were the worst strategic defeat in the history of the US military. It was allowed to happen because the (((FDR Regime))) needed the Japanese to be ascendant in Asia to 1.) generate war hysteria in the USA and 2.) to build up the Communist forces that would eventually move into the vacuum created by Japan's eventual defeat.
