One week later Roosevelt embargoed the export of such grades of oil as still were in commercial flow to Japan.”The British and the Dutch followed suit, embargoing exports to Japan from their colonies in southeast Asia."

This would be the same US that sent troops to occupy and hold Iceland, which had become a German-controlled territory, while the US was neutral (before it entered WWII), at the request of Great Britain? That US? The US that was capturing German ships in the gulf, turning the ships and crews over to the UK and Dutch navy, while neutral? That US? The US that was selling all of its latest weaponry to all of Germany's enemies, while reaming neutral. That US?
