What were the atrocities of national socialism?
The Polish and all the dead clergymen for starters. This is still very fresh in the memory of Poland and they reference it frequently. If there is one thing you don't do in Poland, it's fuck with their religion.

The memes about the national socialists could be entirely communist revisionism just like they try to pin mass graves from the Holodomor on the national socialists. From the looks of it germany was in the middle of an all out war on communism that was mass genociding people all around its territory in the 1930's. When faced with the same situation it might not be so easy to cast a stone on the decision to round up communists and put them to death.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Both the communists and the national socialists take essentially ALL bad publicity and places it squarely on the others shoulders. Which is also what you yourself are doing right now. There's not a single country or empire in human history that is stainless/immaculate so right away that's a pretty big red flag to normal people "hmm. That sounds kinda fucky" the same way it's a red flag when you're dating someone and they blame absolutely everything on their exes, and only blame themselves for things like "being too compassionate and nice". It sounds like that to onlookers and it has the same effect. That's what national socialists and communists both do.
Also, this is not a situation like the Holodomor where pretty much everyone involved is dead. These aren't small villages in sparsely populated regions like in Russia. You're telling an entire country that their fathers and grandfather's just misremembered what happened, basically.
And if there's one thing you don't do with the Germans, it's fuck with their population living under your sovereignty because of a bullshit treaty. Poland fucked around and found out.
communists made it a national policy to eradicate relgious institutes, they particularly hated christians who had the strongest resolve generally to resist their evils. National Socialists didnt have that hatred towards christians. Think about who benefits.
