I've run into that one before. The most memorable one was the day the Challenger shuttle exploded. I was listening to the launch on my radio at work while I was leveling some X-Y stages, and when the shuttle exploded I went to the next room where some of my co-workers were and said "The space shuttle just exploded!"

They thought I was trying to make a really shitty joke. It was weird, I was telling them about the most momentous event of the entire year, and they simply refused to believe me.
