Our State Department pushed the leader of China to ease up on fighting agaisnt Mao until Mao was strong enough to chase out the real government to Formosa (now called Taiwan).

Our State Department did exactly the same thing with our ally, Iran. Eventually, Khomeini returned to Iran as the Shah was forced to flee.

It's the (((American))) way of promoting global communism.
